A healthy alternative to regular white rice

Ingredients
  

  • 120 grams brown rice quick cooking brown basmathi rice
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1/4 tsp chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder optional
  • 1 tsp cow ghee pure a2 cow ghee

Instructions
 

  • Wash the rice.
  • Add double the amount of water to the rice and rest of the ingridients. Rice to water ratio-2:3.
  • Add all the other ingridients let the rice boil on hight heat.
  • When water in 90% gone, cover it with a lid and put it on a low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  • Turn the gass off and let it rest for 2 minutes before opening the lid.
  • Fluff up the rice using a spatula or fork.

Notes

  1.  Brown rice is way healtheir than normal rice and contains fibre for digestion.
  2. Brown rice is slightly firm and takes a little bit longer to cook than normal rice.
  3. Its a good idea to get a quick cooking brown rice.
  4. Ofcouse in case of doubt refer to to the instuctions on the packaging.
